jetting off to korea was the most surreal day ever, after months of talking and planning, we couldn't believe we were finally on our way to seoul. we flew into seoul pretty late at night so when we finally arrived at seoul station via the airport express subway (arex), we had missed the last train for the subway line we needed to take to our hostel. we made it safely to the hostel by showing the taxi driver a print out of the address and directions in korean (very important!) and my half-broken korean conversation with the driver.
the next day, we high-tailed towards the krispy kreme two blocks away from the hostel. singapore has no krispy kreme (we are so deprived here!) so i make sure to go to any one i can get to while i am travelling. oh original glazed, how i have missed you!
