a walk down pasir panjang

9 August = Happy Birthday, Singapore! Have a good 45th! ♥

This is my first roll of film shot on the Golden Half. I love the Golden Half! It's so simple to load the film and to use. Wait for something to catch your eye, click and wind!

I decided to take a walk down Pasir Panjang Road for this first roll. I had noticed the week before that Pasir Panjang gets really pretty during golden hour (6pm-ish), lots of sun rays and buildings that I have never noticed before despite taking this route many times in the past few years. Perfect for the Golden Half's debut outing.

This is the Norwegian Seamen's Mission. I love that Norwegian street sign,

I doubt there's another in Singapore. This is also one of my favourite shots because when I first

saw it, I thought it was one shot!

And then I discovered an staircase leading up, of course I had to climb it.

I found a cluster of buildings at the top and some Christmas-like trees.

I also stopped in at Haw Par Villa, an old Chinese theme park, just before its closing time. By then, it was getting dark and most of the shots in there were too dark. Pity, because Haw Par Villa is fascinating. I will have to go back there soon.

The camera and 400iso film actually performs quite

well at twilight.

Unfortunately, one thing about my Golden Half shots was that quite a few of them were ruined because somehow my fingers were blocking the lens, like these...

I am still not sure how it happened because I didn't think my fingers was blocking when I was shooting...

But nevermind, practice makes perfect and I am looking forward to more adventures with this camera!

  1. Wicked photos! My fingers were also blocking some of my Pop 9 photos. D'oh!

Thanks for reading my blog all this while! And no need to muster any courage to comment - I don't bite! Not online, anyway!
