Lomography Fisheye Baby 110

It was a spur of the moment decision to attend the launch party of the latest Lomography wonder - the Lomography Fisheye Baby 110, I was just so happy to have completed a milestone in my project that I just had to go out somewhere to celebrate. I am really glad that I made it, I caught up with so many Lomography pals that I got to know through the LoBlography competition - Niki, Izad, Sasha, Esther. We should do this more often, you know.

The Fisheye Baby 110 isn't likely to be a camera that I am going to buy. My rational mind says if I already don't own any 120 cameras, what am I going to do with the 110? My analogue heart goes pitter-pat at how adorable it is. I am hoping that Lomography Singapore organises a workshop for it soon, I would still like to be able to play with this little cutie.

Harajuku Street Style Launch Party, 2011

Many moons ago, my friend C brought me along for the launch party of the Harajuku Street Style shopping floors at TANGS Orchard. It was the first fashion-type event that I have ever attended and it was exciting to photograph it. There was certainly no lack of details but the fast pace happenings of the party made it difficult for me to pin down the shot that I wanted. Still, it was a great experience at trying  out film at an event like that. I also met quite a few fashion bloggers including the very sublime Rei Shito and the lovely street style-photography couple James (La Mode Outre) & Stacy (Style Sophomore). We even got a group shot, it's blurred out because the stranger who helped out was slightly knocked off balance by my film slr. No matter, because that's how film is.

Packing Priorities

The first I do when I am about to pack for a trip abroad is to pull out my film box and figure out what films I need to bring. I know my priorities. :)

10 days to Taipei

Dear Monday

Mondays should always begin with a good and hearty breakfast to prime you for the upcoming week. Unfortunately, this doesn't always happen. Maybe the next best thing then is to look at pictures of a hearty breakfast.

Two Things

Two things in my life right now.

1. I have a new phone - the Samsung Galaxy S3! I have officially abandoned the iPhone ship for the Android liner, and I am liking it so far. Any other fellow Droid users out there? One of my favourite features is the S Memo, I have been doodling a lot of it to destress after a long day.

2. I am unbelievably excited about Taipei. 15 more days to go! I have been waiting for 4 months for 1 week!

The Singapore Zoo

About 2 months ago, I was at the Singapore Zoo with my friends. It was my first visit in about 15 years and I could barely recognise the place. It feels very much smaller to me, I had the impression that it was vast and spawling but I guess, a 10 year old's sense of space is very different from a 25 year old's. It was still an interesting morning spent running among the trees, I especially enjoyed the Fragile Forest enclosure where you can get up close & personal with the animals who are let loose within it. Also, the river boat ride across the reservoir from one end of the zoo to another was a peaceful ride across the waters, so much so that one of my friends fell asleep!
