Villa Life, Bali 2013
We were ever so pleased with the villa that we stayed in, Villa Bli Drupadi in Seminyak. We had 5 huge rooms to loll around for the 9 of us, an outdoor dining area where we ate every meal (including a BBQ dinner that we ordered from the Villa's chef), a pool where we splashed around all day and night, and a very attentive crew to cater to our needs during the day. I highly recommend this villa for big groups, so good!

On The Way, Bali 2013
A spontaneous suggestion at a get-together followed by quick agreements all around and one man's efficiency in booking air tickets resulted in a December get-away to Bali with 8 of my junior college friends. It was the fastest I have ever seen a trip being organised and with so many people, I guess we were all feeling stressed out from our day jobs and the suggestion came at the right moment. It was such a great trip to reconnect with each other.

Flying Home, Hong Kong 2013
Going home after a holiday is always depressing but I do love being among the cloud canyons and catching that first glimpse of home.

Common Ground, Hong Kong 2013
Common Ground is a cafe that really makes you work for a sip of their coffee. The first time, we tried to visit, we were KO-ed by its remote location at the top of a series of incredibly steep stairs. It's actually located half-way up on a landing and not visible from the bottom. The second time, we got smart and travelled up the slopes by the mid-level escalators and walked down the stairs. Personally, I was ready to give up on it but C insisted that we try and find this. I am glad she made us. Common Ground is a lovely find, especially in the evening when the day cools down and the body has a minute to rest and recover in a quiet place.

Sun, Moon, Star Streets, Hong Kong 2013
With street names like these, it's inevitable that it will turn into an enclave full of indie brands and labels. Despite them being full to brim of all things hip and cool, Sun, Moon, Star Streets was quiet, serene and peaceful to walkabout. Then again, we were there on a weekday rather than a weekend. Explore every nook, cranny and seemingly dead end, because there might just be a sharp turn that opens up to a treasure trove.
